Wine Academy
Delve deeper into the study of wine
Rooted in Tuscany’s centuries-old winemaking tradition, the program reconnects students with the origins of wine as both a craft and a cultural language. It draws from the knowledge cultivated in monastic cellars, the agricultural wisdom of the Tuscan countryside, and the practices refined across generations of vintners who shaped the region’s identity.
This historical foundation becomes the ground upon which each student builds a modern and personal understanding of wine, developing an individual sensory identity that unites territory, technique, and contemporary expression.

The course
This Wine Making Course program is an intensive 12-week course that combines the craft of winemaking with fundamentals of communication and wine branding. Students build a solid foundation in viticulture, enology, and sensory analysis while learning how storytelling, packaging, and market positioning shape a wine’s identity.
Fieldwork, hands-on harvest experience with the Consorzio Chianti Rufina, and modules on sustainable practices offer a direct understanding of contemporary winemaking. Set in Florence and surrounded by Tuscany’s landscapes, the program blends academic training with cultural immersion.

In the final phase, students join the Make Your Own Wine sommelier classes, blending and bottling their own creation under expert guidance of Firstglass. Participants also have the opportunity to gain the internationally recognized WSET Level 1 Certification, a key credential for wine sommelier roles and careers in winemaking, wine marketing, and hospitality.
Final Project
The Final Project represents the culmination of the entire Wine Course, bringing together technical expertise, creative direction, and personal vision.
Within the Make Your Own Wine module, each student develops a Personal Cuvée through guided blending and bottling sessions in collaboration with FIRSTGLASS. At the core of the project lies the act of choice, translating months of sensory training into decisions. What to emphasize, what to soften, what to reveal, shaping a wine that reflects both intention and identity.
Alongside the core Wine Classes, students build a complete Brand & Market Identity. This includes storytelling, naming, label design, packaging direction, and positioning strategy, resulting in a coherent brand narrative supported by a clearly defined target. Throughout the process, students refine their creative and sensorial concepts, research terroir and style, and develop an integrated identity where product, design, and market strategy converge.
This Wine Learning Course concludes with a digital presentation, a professional pitch, and a final exhibition showcasing each student’s journey, from vine to bottle, tradition to personal expression.
